In your dreams, no one can hear you scream.
Somnium is a puzzle-horror game where, in an oppressing nightmare, the player has to save a kid from a monster only they know about. To do so, the decorative elements can be interacted with so as to scare the child and make them flee. However, these actions build up their fear, and beware of a heart attack! Will you get to the end of this awful nightmare?
Somnium was created as a submission to the Unijam 2019 game jam, with the theme "Don't fear being slow, only fear being still". It was awarded multiple prizes: Best experience, Public's Favorite, and one Member of the jury's favorite. I worked as an environment artist as part of a team of six students. I also helped witth game design when we first discussed the game concept, and then with programming and asset integration in Unity, once my art job was done.
