Test your patience and skills in this very classic (and basic) Roguelike! Explore various procedurally generated dungeons, fight hordes of enemies and even bosses in turn-by-turn combats by using weapons or spells, level up and gain new abilities, and see how deep you can go.

Originally created with a friend as the project of a programming course for my senior year, Dementia was the first game I ever created. Without any experience in game design, we decided to use the very coded genre that is the Roguelike, because we enjoyed it at the time, and it allowed us to focus on programming. Because we enjoyed the experience, we decided to continue it on our free time, designing features not present in the original Rogue game, and we ended up with way too big of a scope and a bloated code, so when our studies took us apart, the project died.

For this project, I primarily worked on programming, but I also designed UI and features, and created part of the ASCII art present in the game. I also created a map creator and map reader, so that we could easily create set maps, for the tutorial for example.
